Dazzler - X-Men

Dazzler is the result of Marvel and Casablanca Records trying to capitalize on the success of disco in the late 70's. A very daring project , even for today's standards of reality TV, that would have marvel publish a new superhero that was also a disco star, while Casablanca Records would produce a new disco act. The project also included a movie that would have Bo Derek as Dazzler. The music and movie parts of the project fell through after Marvel published the comic book and Dazzler ended up as a member of the X-Men on and off for the last thirty years.

She has the power to absorb sound and turn it into any kind of light, which includes all sorts of very powerfull lasers, blinding lights, some versions of the character can do holograms, but of course she mostly used it for disco ball and concert light effects.
